Mr Muir is Co-chairman of the board of examiners for the above Diploma. Mr Martin Richter from Bonn is the Chairman.
The latest exam was held in the Sofitel Hotel in Berlin on Sunday 16 and Monday 17 June.
This year we trialed a new system of three (rather than two) orals and a practical station for everyone.
Congratulations to all those who passed, especially those who were not successful at a previous diet and who have come back to pass second time round. Often these candidates get high marks.

Mr Muir will be hosting the written exam at Salford Royal on Friday 15 March.
If you are coming please remember that the exam starts at 12 noon in the UK (13.00 on the continent).

Along with his colleagues Mr Constantinos Kritiotis, Mr Alistair Phillips and Mr Zaf Naqui, Mr Muir’s paper on WALANT surgery was published in the prestigious series Hand Clinics
Mr Lindsay Muir is immensely grateful to the national and international speakers on the above course of which he is the current Chairman. This latest session was on congenital hand surgery and tumours.
We had contributions from Dr Maybeth Ezaki from Texas, Dr Massimo Corain from Verona, Dr Stephane Guero from Paris, Dr Steven Hovius from Holland and from our local experts from Leeds and from London. Tumours were covered by a team from Birmingham and form Oswestry. The standard of presentation was outstanding.
